The TRACK Team have had some busy weeks. In recent months we have been present at numerous international meetings, including the PIC meeting in the Netherlands. In this newsletter you will find a report of some of these meetings. At least as important as those meetings is the substantive progress to stimulate the use of big data in agri-food. The Coordination Team is also taking major steps on this point. Work is being done on workshops and training courses for SMEs on the use of big data.

TRACK presented at European Cluster Conference 2019

The Business Development Consultant of CTA (Technological Corporation of Andalusia) Macarena Ureña has participated in the European Cluster Conference 2019, held in Bucharest (Romania) from May 14th to 16th. The consultant presented the TRACK project at the meeting of 9 European Strategic Cluster Associations for smart specialization investments, co-organized by EASME (Executive Agency for SMEs managing) and GROW and restricted to ESCP-S3 project partners funded by COSME Programme. [Read more]

European experts pleased with international PIC meeting at Greenport West-Holland

The ninth PIC meeting, organised by Greenport West-Holland, was very successful. Experts from a large number of European countries took part in presentations, workshops and discussions about international cooperation in the agricultural sector. They also visited the GreenTech, the FlowerTrials and several relevant companies at Greenport. All presentations can be found on the PIC-website of Greenport West-Holland.

At the PIC meeting Greenport and the French horticultural cluster have signed a so-called Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) [Read more].

Meeting of TRACK Coordination Team

TRACK nominated for Computable Awards 2019

Recently TRACK was allowed to give a presentation to the jury for the Dutch Computable Awards 2019 as one of the top IT projects within SMEs. The jury judged that TRACK is innovative, well thought out and has great social value. Moreover, behind TRACK there is a good consortium. That is why the jury considers the chances of success to be high. However, TRACK started too recently to be able to deliver concrete results. That is why TRACK ended just outside the top 5, but with the invitation to sign up again for the next tender.

TRACK Workshop at Seville (Spain)

CTA (Technological Corporation of Andalusia) organised a workshop on challenges and opportunities for the digitalisation of the Andalusian agri-food sector in Seville (Spain) on the 6th of June. [Read more]
